Affiliating with the RFU (GMS)

Every TJs Minis player needs to be affiliated to the club through the RFU's Game Management System, or GMS. It sounds official, but it's really just the RFU's way of making sure every child is registered and ready to play. You'll only need to do it once a year, and it takes a few minutes.

Age Grade registration reopens on 1 July each year for the new season, so pick the section below that matches you and follow the steps. If you get stuck at any point, drop us a line at minis@tjrfc.co.uk and we'll happily walk you through it.

New to rugby? Registering for the first time.
If your child hasn't played for TJs or rugby before, here's how to get them signed up.

First, you'll need a GMS account of your own, with your child added to it. If you haven't done this yet, the RFU has a short "How to Create an Account" guide to get you started, and you add your child as a linked family member from there.

Once your account is set up:

1. Log in to GMS and go to your Personal Profile Dashboard. Look for the green "What Next?" box, which will prompt you to complete a Player Registration for your child. If you don't see the green box straight away, click the action icon to reveal it.
2. Click "Add Club," then search for and select Tonbridge Juddians. Complete the Player Registration form and click "Save."
3. Some details will fill in automatically, such as your address. You'll need to add the rest, including playing format, playing position, school details, any medical conditions, and an emergency contact. Use the pencil icon to change anything that isn't quite right.
4. Once you've filled in all the required fields and saved, you'll get a confirmation email. Your registration will show as amber while it's pending, and will turn green once our Age Grade Registrar approves it. That green status means your child is all set to play.

Played before? Renewing your registration.
If your child played for TJs or rugby last season, you don't need to start from scratch. You're simply renewing the registration you already have. This can be done each year from 1 July for the upcoming season.

1. Log in to GMS using your linked parent or guardian account, the same one you used last season.
2. Follow the prompts to renew the registration for each of your children. If you have more than one playing, you'll do this for each child in turn.
3. Check that all the details are still correct, update anything that's changed over the year, and save.
