About the team

Welcome to TJs Minis! Rugby is a sport for everyone, whether your child is quick on their feet, still finding their balance, full of confidence, or just starting out. Our Minis section offers a brilliant introduction to the game for boys and girls of all ages, sizes, and experience levels.

From U7 upwards, children have the chance to play in tag rugby matches and local festivals throughout the season, a brilliant way to build confidence and put their skills into practice. We round things off with an end-of-season rugby tour, packed with fun, muddy matches, and unforgettable memories. Contact rugby is introduced from U9, with coaches supporting players as they make the transition in a positive and age-appropriate way.

It’s more than just a year of rugby. It’s a whole journey of growing confidence, building friendships, and living by those all-important rugby foundations: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and Sportsmanship. These values lie at the heart of the Minis programme and stay with players long after the final whistle, shaping how they play, how they learn, and how they carry themselves both on and off the pitch.

Whether it’s their first time picking up a rugby ball or they already have a muddy pair of boots, all new players are welcome to come along, join a session, and see what it’s all about. No pressure, no expectations, just a great opportunity for your child and your family to get a feel for the game and the TJs community.
