This is the stage where players start to experience the excitement of matches and tag festivals — and it’s every bit as fun as it sounds!
Training is still at the heart of what we do, with sessions focused on understanding the rules of tag games, building confidence, and strengthening the core rugby values: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. It’s a brilliant mix of learning, laughter, and a few muddy knees along the way.
As per RFU guidance, festival teams are mixed ability, and if your child wants to give it a go, we’ll make sure they get time on the pitch. If they’re not quite ready for matches just yet — no problem at all. Training is just as important, and they’ll always be part of the team.
New to rugby? Come along and try a few sessions first — no pressure to commit straight away. We’re all about making it a positive experience for both players and parents.
