Bob passed away after a short illness. He was a staunch supporter of all things rugby having been at Judd School before captaining Tonbridge RFC where he was a Vice President and a Past President also.
Bob was also a life member of Old Juddians RFC and his support continued when the two clubs merged in 1999 and he became an Honorary Life Member and Vice President of TJs as well

"Such a sad day for the club , losing a stalwart of rugby in the town". "Bob did so much for Local Rugby and more including Lamberhurst Golf Club" and "A very sad loss of a Member with a huge history in TRFC, OJRFC and TJs" were just a few of the TJ tributes shared following release of the very sad news.

Funeral arrangements will be shared through email as appropriate once arranged and known. And TJs will honour Bob's memory before the next home game at The Slade against Dorking on the 2nd December
