Storm Amy had largely passed over in the skies over Gravesend this weekend, but on the pitch TJs Ladies were cooking up a tornado. The girls followed up their opening week’s stellar victory with a thumping 0-65 final score, for their second match of the season.

The TJs team was incredibly strong across the board: 11 tries scored by 8 different players. Our resolute and well-organised defence prevented Gravesend from registering even a single point - despite their sustained and determined efforts in the TJs 22. Marsh kicked five conversions including one from her own try and Remmie scored three before 20 minutes were up on the clock.

Molly contributed a brace with Nic B, Ame, Fi, Clair and Tilly also on the scoreboard, with Tilly and Nic B both scoring for the first time.

Gravesend were incredibly strong in the second half and continued to put our defence to the test. Particular shout outs are due for Molly’s first match as captain and Hannah’s first match in TJs colours.

Special praise is also due to Darcey, Dylan, Ruby and Elliot for taking charge of the kicking tee and water duties throughout the match. We couldn’t do it without you!

This is an incredibly strong start to the season for the TJs Ladies. Our recruitment campaign continues to build and we are aiming to attract even more new players so we can continue to field a full squad of players every week.
