One Big Step at a Time for TJs

TJs come from behind to claim maximum points in N2E. TJ2s sign off C3K campaign with derby win at The Slade

Tjs headed to Henley Hawks in search of a key victory as the end of their N2E campaign. Eight points clear of Dorking with just 3 games to play, and the last of them away at the Surrey outfit, TJs knew this was a must win game.
Henley raced to a 13-0 lead before TJs troubled the scoreboard but tries from Connor Lloyd, Curtis Barnes (2) and Josh Tusler plus two conversions from Sam Evans secured a 20-24 half time lead and a try bonus point to boot.
A third try from Barnes plus others from Tom Kendrick, Shadyn Osgood and Mac Duiabe and three more Evans conversions took TJs to 50 points and victory 34-50
With Dorking beating Havant 43-17 and Barnes edging past BSE 31-41 they remain in the hunt with 2 rounds to play but are 8 and 10 points behind TJs respectively
TJs will be hoping to claim the title next Saturday at The Slade when Oxford Harlequins are the visitors. No easy task as they will be fighting to avoid the third relegation spot after a heavy loss at home to Canterbury.
With Worthing and Colchester both relegated already the final spot is between Havant (45 points), Oxford Harlequins (49) and Sevenoaks (51)
At The Slade TJs 2s celebrated their C3K title again with a final outing against T Wells and they secured a 24-38 victory out scoring their opponents 7 tries to 4
On Sunday TJs Academy As (pictured) secured their own Kent League Division 1 title with a resounding 50-0 win over T Wells at The Slade.
