TJs will make the trip south to Havant RFC on Saturday for their N2E R6 match up and a 3pm KO. TJs are currently undefeated in five rounds and have secured maximum points to boot.
Havant came up last season and made a solid start to the new season with wins over Sevenoaks and Worthing. Three losses since to Guernsey (20-39), Westcombe Park (23-26) and Canterbury (36-31) and those scorelines suggest another tough game for TJs.
TJs will be on something of a high after their last kick win over Guernsey last time out but will need to be mentally alert and on the ball as any away trip is a potential banana skin and when top the next team is always hungry to topple you from that perch.
The selectors have again rung the changes to keep competition for places high and it's good to see Ryan Taylor-Dennehey and Ryan Munnelly getting a start. The move of Shadyn Osgood from abrasive centre to the back row will create a buzz amongst the TJ supporters for sure. And with Curtis Barnes and Howard Packman back on the wings we will be hoping for yet more tries on Saturday.
The 2s are back in action in their Counties 3 Kent tie with Brockleians at The Slade and a 3pm KO.
TJs lost out to Old Dunstonians last time out but hung on to top spot, so will want to get back to winning ways at home. Brockleians have notched one win from their first four
On Sunday TJs Mini Girls head to Bromley for a Festival and the U16 Girls head to Medway for Cup action. Plenty of other friendlies for the Juniors and more to enjoy on Sunday too
