N1 R7 Reaction as Plymouth visit The Slade

Adam Hookway17 Oct - 15:40

TJs are back at home on Saturday in N1 whilst 2s tackle Thanet W in C2K

- Terry Bradshaw - former NFL Quarterback
TJs are back at The Slade this Saturday with a double-whammy as both the 1s and 2s are in action
Tjs welcome Plymouth Albion back for the first time since securing a narrow 12-10 win way back in Nov 2021 when TJs were last in National 1. Tom White, now part of TJs coaching group, secured the win with 4 penalties that day in difficult conditions and TJs will be hoping the return of Sam Evans at fly-half on Saturday triggers a reaction after last Saturday's defeat away to Blackheath.
TJs WLWLWL routine in the first six rounds will be severely tested by Plymouth as they arrive with just one defeat to date, a loss away at Rosslyn Park. Plymouth lie in 4th spot in the table 9 points above TJs in 8th
Jim Staples and Ollie Streeter start in the TJs front row with Will Holling and Bobby Bratton moving to the bench. The back line remains unchanged apart from Evans at 10 and Oscar Waite gets a start at No 8 as Dan Laventure also heads to the bench
The 2s are in Counties 2 Kent action against league leaders and unbeaten to date Thanet Wanderers.
The 2s are also unbeaten but are 5 points behind Thanet who have played a game more
