Big shout out to those who did manage to do their 'extra' bit for the Club on Sunday and Monday at The Show

A huge thank you to those TJs and more who managed to help us at this year's Edenbridge & Oxted Show.
A variety of TJs were on parade on Sunday and Monday to help visitors navigate the Gates with payment and entry.
The weather was kind and that made for an excellent atmosphere and a bumper crowd of show visitors. Busy at times on all the Gates and credit to those who helped out for working well to get us through the days without any real issues.
Jon Maidman thanked everybody who did their bit and once again made a tricky task into an efficient and enjoyable couple of days.
For all those TJs who were unable to attend to help and those who did not as they were unaware of what was involved and what the purpose and importance of doing this Show and the Heathfield Show then the following may help, a little.
  • TJs work the Gates at both Shows which essentially means taking payment for tickets on the day (mainly digital/card payments) and scanning all tickets on entry to ensure payment/passes are present
  • The work involves a degree of 'customer service' and in many ways mirrors what being part of a Club/Team is all about - working together for the best result
  • A mix of ages always works well to ensure energy and experience are present in equal numbers
  • And it's a fantastic way for TJs to find out more about other parts of the Club and widen their TJ community by forging links with those from the Academy, Age Groups, senior teams and even some of the oldest TJs

The two events raise significant funds for the Club as a whole
So if you missed out this year please make a note to get involved next Summer with the Heathfield Show in May and the E&O Show in late August
And hopefully we will see more TJs on parade and doing that 'extra bit' next year
