Happy New Year with restrictions

5th January 2021

Unfortunately the good news which normally follows the arrival of a new year has been severely tempered by the news from Government and the rugby authorities.

The RFU have suspended Community rugby

The County have strongly advised that Kent Clubs should delay any return to Rugby (either playing or training) after Christmas and the New Year for Age grade Rugby from U6 through to U18 in all age groups from the beginning of January 2021 until further notice.

This advice to remain in place at least until all school testing for years 7-13 has been completed and or further advice is provided by the County to clubs.

Whilst exercise is allowed this is limited to within households and once a day - please do read the Government and RFU guidance to understand what is allowed or perhaps more importantly what is not - as a result the Club will sadly remain closed and there will be no TJ rugby until further notice

The government provide extensive guidance and information on GOV.UK Coronavirus (Covid 19) and on the return to training/playing of sport

The RFU provide specific advice and guidance for rugby including the Rugby Road Map where we now return to Stage A

National lockdown: stay at home

You must stay at home. This is the single most important action we can all take to protect the NHS and save lives.

You must not leave your home unless necessary.

Stay 2 metres apart from anyone not in your household or bubble.

WASH HANDS and WEAR A MASK WHERE POSSIBLE
