Dry Jan? - You Must Be Joking

2nd January 2020

One of the wettest December's in memory is behind us but it will take time for the ground to dry out fully so for the pitches at least no home senior gfames just yet is a blessing.

The senior men head to Old Redcliffians (KO 2pm) in N2S R17 where a warm welcome always awaits. TJs are top of the pile in N2S and Old Reds are in the bottom three with just 3 wins to date so on dry paper the omens look good for TJs.

But we know how tough a place it can be to find, let alone play, so remember it's best approached from the A4 and the post code is BS4 5LU

TJs enjoyed a dry game against Sutton & Epsom just before the seasonal break but will be putting the long studs back in for an Old Reds pitch that will undoubtedly be heavy going althoigh the forecast is dry but chilly.

The 2s and 3s return to action on the 11th Jan so get an extra weekend off but the TJs Pink Ladies are back at it with a trip to Hove on the south coast. A Third v Second clash and the Sussex club will be looking for revenge after a 38-3 reverse at The Slade back in October.

The Pink Ladies have been in rude health for much of the season and will be keen to start the new year with a performance. KO is at 2pm so if you fancy a Sunday trip to the seaside then get along and cheer them on!

On Sunday the Minis/Jiniors are back in training but pitch space will be limited after the recent flooding. Check with your Age Groups early to confirm where and when training is happening.

The Academy are in action with the U17s/U18s entertaining Bishops' Stortford whilst the U16s head to Old Rutts.

TJs will be back at The Slade in National 2 South action on Saturday 11th Jan when Bournemouth are the visitors at 2.30pm. Book your League Lunch places here
