Wallace, Barnes Trail and Much More

28th November 2019

An exciting weekend of rugby awaits us and it all kicks off on Friday Night when Paul Wallace is our guest for one of our oh so popular Sportsman's Dinner events.
Paul is the ex Ireland and British & Irish Lion tight head prop and Sky TV pundit. A legend of a player and a very entertaining speaker.
We awake early to hit the Barnes Trail for those heading to watch TJs continue their N2S campaign with the trip to lovely Barnes by the river (Thames). An enjoyable train trip, leaisurely stroll up the high street and hopefully another quality game of rugby - ground and weather  permitting
TJs edged past Esher lats Saturday in a 17-11 win whilst Barnes slipped to a 34-22 reverse at Henley. Barnes have managed just 2 wins to date but despite losing the other 10 their points difference is under 100 which confirms that the losses have all been tight. Muddy tight perhaps.
League leaders Taunton head to Leicester Lions in the other 2pm KO and with both squads in form this could be another tight game. Third placed Henley head to Dings.
No game for the 3s this week as they take a rest but the 2s are back in action with the friendly visit of Sidcup to The Slade for a 2.30pm KO. The 2s have missed out on game time in recent weeks as sides have withdrawn from Invicta 1. Sidcup withdrew before the season began but are playing friendlies, for which we are very grateful, result permitting perhaps
On Sunday TJs Pink Ladies hit the road to Seaford in their league game with a 2pm KO. The squad are burtsing with confidence after an impressive cup win last time out and a growinf squad will be pushing for places.
Most of Minis ar at Old Whitgiftians for their Festival on Sunday. The U6s and some of the other Age Groups will be training at Vizards as conditions are very muddy under foot at the Club so space is a premium.
The older age groups are also busy with the U12s and U13s are at home to T Wells. The U13s at Battersea Ironsides is off due to their pitches being waterlogged. The U14s entertain Maidstone whilst the U15s head to Westcliff
So plenty of TJ rugby and social to enjoy so if you can get involved, please do!
