2s and 3s Fixtures Announced and more

2nd September 2019

The weekend saw the 1st XV complete their final warm up away at T Wells where they eased to victory in a game where both sides chopped and changed to enable new faces to settle.

TJs proved a tad to quick in thought and deed for their hosts at times and scored four first half tries as the TJ scrum looked strong too.

A good run out for both squads and both can now look ahead to their opening league games with TJs hosting Leicester Lions at 3pm this coming Saturday. T Wells open their campaign on the road at Guildford.

If you fancy starting the season with a lunchtime bang then contact asap to book your pre0lunch place from 1pm

TJs 2s and 3s have to wait a little longer before they can cross the whitewash as the 2s face Combe at home on the 14th Sept in their opening Invicta 1 encounter. It's been a bit of a wait for the 2s fixtures to be confirmed although we anticipate a few more changes for later in the season

A couple of things to note are that Sidcup are not playing in the league but TJs will play them home and away as friendlies.

There is also a string of Away games in the first part of the season. This is due to the NCA regs requiring N2 games to allow 2 changing rooms per team. That means we can only accomodate 2 home games on any given Saturday. A tough job for our Fixture Sec, David Carver, to manage so please be understanding when wondering 'Why?'

The 3s begin their campaign Away at Leigh on the 21st September

The 2s and 3s are now training at Vizards 3G on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.30pm

Vizards (see pic) was put to good use last Sunday when the U14s, U15s and Academy squads all had a run out

The U16s beat Rochford 29-7, drew 7-7 with Judd and lost 5-20 to Worthing. The Colts (mix of U17/U18) lost 17-22 to Worthing.

The U15s also took on Judd in 3 x 20min sessions which were recorded as a Draw and of great value to everyone involved. The U14s and Judd held a combined training session in the morning as well

Back at The Slade the U12s and U13s emerged from their Summer recess along with a number of the Mini age groups. More will follow this Sunday from 10am so if you have yet to register we will see you Sunday

And last but not least the TJ Pink Ladies were out in force for their own pre-season warm up on Friday night and they are looking forward to their opening league game this Sunday at The Slade against Lewes 2s. KO 2pm - please get down and cheer them on!. Check out their Womens NC 2 South East (South)
