Many a neutral TJ pundit procaimed TJs 46-17 homw win over Taunton Titans on Saturday as 'Possibly the best home performance I’ve seen'

It's a fair call as this was 5th v 4th and Titans arrived after pushing league leaders Rams all the way the week before. Everything was teed up for a thrilling game despite the miserable conditions and the TJ faithful were treated to a stellar performance where everything TJs touched seemed to trun to points.

Duncan Tout turned in his best peeformance of the season at centre with the type of barn storming game with and without ball and it wa she who opened the TJ try scoring after some early sabre rattling from both sides. Will Robinson converted, as he does, before Touty burst through again and offloaded to Toby May on the line for TJ's second. Robinson added the extras.

Robinson added the third try with a 70m scamper after Taunton messed up an attacking scrum and then Touty added his second try after stripping the Taunton player on half way and scrambling down the right to score. Four tries and the bonus point in the bag before half time.

Robinson added a penalty just after the break to make it 29-10 but Taunton struck to add their third try to tighten things up but TJs then set about securing an emphatic win. Murray Galbraith-Lowe burst through, slipped ad scampered to power over with Robinson converting before he added his second as he supported Tout and Gabraith-Lowe in to the right corner.

Ryan Jackson added the coup de grace with a try that started with Will Colderick thrusting down the right, Finlay Coxon-Smith down the middle and then Jackson sauntering in on the left.

Super stuff from TJs and a win that lifts them to fourth with Taunton now fifth.

The 2s were also in action at home to Taunton in a friendly. Unfortunately miscommunication led to no referee and whilst a replacement was found Taunton proved too strong for TJs in the gloom.

Elsewhere in N2S league leaders Rams went 9 points clear at the top with a 41-12 win at home to Worthing. TJs travel to the Sussex club next Saturday for R13 and a 2pm KO. Canterbury won the 2nd v 3rd battle 29-32 to swap places with the Hawks.

Redruth surprised Barnes with a 12-14 win on the road and London Irish WG climbed off the bottom with a 17-20 win over Guernsey. Birmingham Bees slipped to the bottom following a 32-15 loss at Old Albanians. Old Reds lipped to a 13-32 defeat to Dings and BSE under new direction fell to Clifton 13-17

On Sunday TJs Pink Ladies faced Wothing in the league and in a game that ebbed and flowed they went down 37-42 in a game performance
