Old Reds Next

9th November 2017

Tjs welcome Old Redcliffians to The Slade on Saturday for Round 11 in National 2 South and a 2.30pm KO.

These two have locked horns before in the Intermediate Cup way back in 2010 when Old Reds edged it down at their place. Both Clubs have climbed through the leagues since and this will be their first meeting in N2 level.

Old Reds have yet to taste victory this season and they lie just above Wimbledon in the division. That lack of a win though does not tell the full story as they have pushed many sides close, most notably Cinderford last Saturday where they finally succumbed 33-43. ]

TJs of course know all about losing but they have also enjoyed some notable victories and last Saturday's 7-52 away win at Broadstreet was a much needed boost after a run of reverses.

This match up looks like being a cracker as a result.

The Development Squad are also in action but away at Colfeians. The squad have rallied in Invicta 1 and now find themselves third and just one point behind Sidcup and Sevenoaks. Those two are due to play each other so a win for TJs could see  them go up another spot at least in the table

Saturday also sees the first round of Autumn Internationals with England facing Argentina at Twickers with a 3pm KO

Sunday is of course Remebrance Sunday and TJs will be observing a minute silence at 11am in the traditional manner

In the morning the U17Bs face Combe and we understand the As may also be in action but await confirmation

In the afternoon TJs Pink Ladies take on Hampstead in WCSE2 at 2.30pm. The visitors are 2nd whilst TJs are 4th in a very competitive division. The Ladies always play better with vocal touchline support so why not get down to The Slade on Sunday and cheer them on

The Minis will be back in training at home after their successful Inaugural Mini Festival of last weekend
