Chinnor Next in N2S

11th October 2017

The 1st XV will reacquaint themselves with Chinnor RFC on Saturday at 3pm a side they last met a couple of seasons ago when Chinnor won the N3 play off game to gain promotion and leave Tjs waiting for a couple more seasons.

It's just a 2 hour journey so why not get along and cheer the team on?

Please note that Chinnor operate a NO dogs policy anywhere in the grounds or Club. Guide dogs are the obvious exception

Chinnor were many people's firm favourites for promotion this season and despite a draw against Clifton in Round 1, five wins since and a defeat of Cinderford last Saturday confirms those crednetials. Taunton, on maximum points from 6 games, might still have something to say about that and so too could TJs though.

TJs have not been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks and have a P6 W3 L3 record. New recruits are making their mark in the squad and this game, plus Cinderford at The Slade next Saturday, will be stern tests for all.

Other N2S match ups to savour inc Taunton at BSE where the hosts seem to have found their feet after a tricky season opener.  Cinderford travel to Worthing as very firm favourites and Canterbury will be hoping that Redruth struggle on their furthest trip of the seaosn into darkest kent. And Wimbledon and Old Redliffians go in search of their first wins at Clifton and LIWG respectively

The rest of the senior squads are due to match up with T Wells and Ashford but we await confirmation

On Sunday the Minis are at home training whilst the Junior teams have a range of games against Kent sides. The Academy squads take on Cranbrook at home and the U12s and U15s tackle Gravesend and Canterbury respectively.

The U13s head to Gravesend and the U14s are just up the road at Sevenoaks
