Captains' Day and N2S Final Game

25th April 2018

Th last day of the league season and TJs face Bury St Edmunds at The Slade for Game 30 of their league season with 6th place already secured.

TJs kicked off their debut season in N2S away at BSE in bright sunshine with a 17-50 victory that stunned most pundits but not as much as Murray Galbraith Lowe who got mixed up with Matt Betty when the man of the match award was handed over.

TJ's season has confirmed that that result was not a one off and some notable victories have been secured since, with some not so good but still noted losses as well. Last Saturday saw TJs visit Tainton Titans for the first time and secure a magnificent 26-66 victory which should put them in good spirits ahead of this Saturday's encounter.

BSE have had an up and down season which sees them lying 7th and a win for them should be enough to stay ahead of Worthing. They have had a tough end to the season facing the top three in successive weeks and although they lost to Chinnor and Cinderford it was by narrow margins whilst they edged third placed Redigensians. They will be a very different opponent from the one we found in week 1 for sure.

Kick Off is at 3pm and it should be a packed touchline as TJs gather to see the season out and past TRFC and OJRFC supporters, players and Captains reunite over a beer or three.

The 2s are also at home against Old Colfeians whilst the 3s will head ot Weavering to bring their own seaosn to an end with mid table in Late Red 3 to be secured.
