TJs were back at a sunny Slade on Saturday and welcomed Redruth for the first time in this N2S encounter. And the players and officials put on a good game of rugby for the expectant crowd.

It was nip and tuck for much of the game but TJs edged it withfirst half  tries from Tom NIcoll and  Will Colderick plus a conversion and penalty by Nathan Holmes to give TJs a 15-7 lead at the break. Further tries from George Lawson, Sami Atiola and Hugo Watson plus two more conversions from Holmes gave TJs a bonus point win at 34-28

Also at The Slade the Dev Squad took on Beckenham in Invicta 1 and romped to a 90-12 win with a hat trick from Craig Gazzard. Jack Mutch (2), Seb Lewis (2), Matt Damper (2), Joe Massey, Ryan Redman, Charlie Gregory and Sam Themistocleous with the extras from Matt Damper.

Elsewhere in N2S Cinderford beat TJ's next opponents, Taunton Titans, 41-24 but still can't claim the title as Chinnor came from behind to steal a 28-27 win over Bury St Edmunds. Cinderford are 8 points ahead with two to play.

London Irish slipped to a 17-29 loss at home to Clifton and into the bottom three, just on points difference as Barnstaple lost 46-16 to a fired up Old Redcliffians. Worthing had a ding dong of a 55-41 win over Henley Hawks and Canterbury went down 21-14 to Redingensians. Broadstreet lost 29-41 to Wimbledon which keeps the Dons hopes of escaping relegation alive with two to play.

TJ's bouns point win lifted us to 6th in the division with 76 points. BSE (75), Henley (73) and Worthing (71) can still overhaul us.

In National 1 Blackheath lost 42-18 to Caldy and Old Elthamians went down 29-34 to Old Albanians but they remain 5th and 6th in the table.

Guernsey look to have lost their grip on L&SE Premier as they slipped to a 22-17 defeat at Tring to allow Barnes, who beat Towcesterians 5-29, to go 1 point clear at the top. Barnes travel to Sutton & Epsom next Saturday and Guernsey play Towcesterians. T Wells came from 3-21 down to Guildford to win 24-21 to seal 5th place. At the bottom Combe kept their hopes of survival alive with a 41-25 win over relegated Southend Saxons

CS Rugby sealed the title in London 1 S with a 19-32 win at Thurrock but the tussle for the play off spot goes to the final Saturday as Medway (101) and Havant (99) both won with 59-0 and 31-38 wins over Maidstone and Chobham respectively. Sevenoaks lost 32-23 at Brighton
