With the 1s and 3s both winning their respective leagues last Saturday there is still time for some to eye up a title or a play off spot whilst others, like Barry, are facing despair.
In National 1 there are two games left but Hartpury College are already up in a runaway season where they have P28 and W28. A perfect season surely beckons. Not so good at the other end of course where Macclesfield, Hull Ionians and Blaydon are all relegated with games to spare.
National 2 South also have two gamesleft and this one is much tighter. Bishops’ Stortford look firm favourites though with a 7 point lead and a penultimate game against bottom, and relegated Exmouth. The play off spot is between Old Elthamians and Chinnor who are level on points - that one could go either way still.
At the bottom Exmouth will be joined through the trap door with two from Barnes, London Irish WG, Barnstaple or Worthing. A perennial tight division this one which tends to go the wire
National 2 North have crowned Caldy as their Champions already and Sale have claimed the play off spot. Preston BGrasshoppers (Wade Dooley's old club) are already down plus two of Harrogate, Sheffield Tigers or Scunthorpe (Mike MIke and Janet's old club?)
The National 3 divisions have just the one game left and in L&SE Tonbridge Juddians are assured of the title. Wimbledon will take the runners up spot and home advantage in the play off against Dings Crusaders from N3SW where Old Redcliffians have won automatic promotion.
Amersham & Chiltern were down some weeks ago from L&SE with just 7 points to their name. Colchester join them along with one from Chichester and Sutton & Epsom. Chichester face Combe and Sutton & Epsom take on Amersham & Chiltern in their final games. Chi need to win and S&E to lose if the Sussex Club are to survive.
Up North Huddersfield are Champions with Rossendale in the runners up spot. They will have the home advantage for their play off against one from Broadstreet, Sheffield or Nuneaton from Midlands where the title and runners up spot go the last game of the season - tight!
London 1 have crowned Sidcup as Champions and TJs face them in the Kebt Cup Final at Canterbury RFC on Sunday 30th April KO 4.30pm
The runners up spot looked to be Havants but a recent loss means Tunbridge Wells are still in the hunt. Just three points between them with TW at home to Maidstone and Havant away at Sidcup in their final games. Oooh er. Gosport & Fareham, Dover and Chiswick are all relegated
Up North Tring bounce back to N3 level as Champions with Brentwood or Chingford fighting for the runners up berth. The Bs travel to Chingford for the last game so a winner takes all opportunity. If the Bs get a bonus point then Chingford need maximum points themselves to pip them. The successful Club have home advantage in the play off against either Havant or T Wells
London 2 SE has crowned Medway already and the runners up are Old Colfeians who face Camberley from the SW in the play off. Crowborough and Bromley are both relegated. London 3 SE sees Pulborough go up as Champions with Haywards Heath joining them as runners up. Ashford, Eastbourne and Gillingham Anchorians are all relegated.
Kent 1 Champions are Hastings & Bexhill (from Sussex) who are promoted whilst Old Williamsonians and Uckfield slug it out in the play off. Snowdown CW and Brockleians are both relegated. And finally Sussex 1 sees Crawley as Champions and Uckfield second
So still plenty for some to play for before the boots are dubbined or binned
