TJ Business Club (TJBC)
What is the TJBC?
The TJBC is an informal business network group for business people who don’t like traditional networking!
Why is TJs the perfect place for a business networking group?
Tonbridge Juddians RFC sits at the heart of the West Kent sporting, social and business community. Everything we do is guided by the three key pillars of the TJ club vision:
- Community: Strong relationships based on common values
- Participation: Enjoying being part of something special
- Excellence: Every player maximizing their potential.
On the sporting side, TJs run five senior men’s sides with the 1st XV playing at National League level. In addition TJs have a successful Ladies section, a vibrant and highly successful mini and junior section and a nationally respected Academy set-up.
Beyond the rugby, we are proud of our position within the local community. Many companies see TJs as an important partner in promoting their businesses. Also, our strong relationships with local schools and colleges enable us to help spread rugby’s values and enjoyment.
Why become a member of the TJBC community?
Motivations for taking part in the TJBC meetings vary considerably, but include:
- informal get-together with like minded people,
- opportunity to listen to interesting speakers on an eclectic range of topics
- networking with potential business partners and customers
- keeping in touch with what is happening at TJs
- potential entry point to partnering with TJs as a sponsor.
Whatever the priority, we are confident that the TJBC provides something for everyone. Current members of the TJBC range from employees of large international companies to owners and representatives of small/medium sized local businesses and also include retired business people.
The emphasis is on facilitating the building of meaningful, long-term relationships. No “elevator pitches”, no “referral counts”, just a friendly, informal atmosphere reflecting the rugby ethos.
When does the TJBC meet and how do I join?
The TJBC meets from 8am to 10am on the second Wednesday of each month (except August) at the TJ clubhouse at The Slade in Tonbridge.
